iiPTV App Support

Help for the native iPhone and iPad app: import your own playlist, apply a configuration, troubleshoot playback and contact support without sharing credentials.

This page supports the native iiPTV app for iPhone and iPad, which requires iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or later. The first release is free. Bring a playlist or media source you are authorized to use: iiPTV does not include television channels, sell a TV subscription or grant viewing rights to third-party content.

Contact: support@iiptv.app. For data handling in the native app, read the App Privacy Policy. If you are using iiPTV in a browser instead, see website support.

Add your own playlist and start playback

  1. Open Configurations and choose the add-source action. Import a direct M3U/M3U8/TXT playlist URL, choose a supported playlist through Files, or create a manual configuration.
  2. Review the import result and choose Save and Apply. If you only saved the configuration, apply it from Configurations before returning to Channels.
  3. Open Channels, search or choose a group, then select a channel to play. A successful import means the app read the list; each media address still needs to be reachable and compatible.
  4. Add channels to Favorites or use Recent playback to find something you watched. Video resume depends on the source providing a usable duration and position.

Use a direct playlist address rather than a repository preview, sign-in page or download landing page. The app's import guide explains the expected M3U and TXT structures. Keep an independent copy of your original files and private source details.

Try a controlled playback check

For an example that does not require a private TV account, import:

https://iiptv.app/media/demo.m3u

This list contains two short, self-generated test-pattern sources: MP4 and HLS. Apply the configuration and try either entry. The sample contains no third-party television programming. It can help distinguish a general import or playback issue from a problem with another source; it does not certify that a separate channel or provider will work.

The demo is hosted online, so using it makes requests to the iiPTV website's media host. It is not a channel package bundled into the native app.

Troubleshoot the step that failed

The list will not import

Check the address, network access and returned file. HTML, expired links, an unavailable host or an invalid playlist can prevent importing. If permitted by the source, choosing a local copy through Files can separate text parsing from remote access. Do not send support a live password, token or complete private playlist.

Channels appear but a channel will not play

The list has already been read. Compare the controlled demo and another permitted entry, then note the visible error and whether the playback clock moves. Source access rules, expired credentials, codecs and network conditions can affect an individual stream. Reimporting the same valid list does not repair an unavailable media server.

The app offers a system player and a compatibility player. Try the appropriate player setting for the source and report which one you used. User-Agent, Referer or other request parameters should match the source publisher's instructions; do not guess credentials or bypass an access restriction.

AirPlay, Picture in Picture or background audio is unavailable

These use system capabilities and depend on the selected player, media, device, system settings and, for AirPlay, a compatible receiver. Some compatibility-player media cannot use the system Picture in Picture or output path. Check the app's playback settings and try the system player with a compatible source. Do not assume a working local video establishes support for every stream or receiver.

Backups, previews and local data

Configurations, Favorites and viewing history are stored in the app on your device. Settings includes preview-cache and history controls, backup export and restore, and a local-data reset. Export a backup before a replacement or reset if you want to keep that library.

A backup may contain private media addresses and configured request headers. Choose its save or share destination carefully. Manual export through Files, including a destination you choose in iCloud Drive, is not automatic cross-device sync. The original files and copies exported elsewhere are separate from the app's local data.

Contact app support with a reproducible report

Email support@iiptv.app or use Send feedback in the app's Help/About area. Include the smallest useful report:

iOS or iPadOS version:
Selected player: system / compatibility / automatic
Input: playlist URL / Files / manual configuration
Controlled demo result: works / fails / not tested

App and system versions are available in the app's About/diagnostic summary. The summary shared by the app contains those versions rather than your playlist addresses, headers or library contents. Check anything else you attach: screenshots, copied errors, backups and network logs can contain private data.

Remove usernames, passwords, cookies, Authorization values, tokens and private media URLs before sending a report. A redacted example and a short sequence of actions are usually more useful than a complete playlist. iiPTV support cannot renew a provider subscription or restore an independent source server, and no response deadline is promised.

For privacy questions, use the same address and identify the relevant app action. For open-source notices, open Open-source licenses in the app. You can request corresponding-source materials for the included LGPL-covered components by emailing support with the app version and build; that contact path is separate from ordinary playback troubleshooting.

This support page is a website page. Website hosting, analytics and browser storage are described in the website Privacy Policy; they should not be confused with telemetry inside the native app.
