Name cleanup removes only trailing SD, HD, FHD, UHD, 4K or 8K labels and extra whitespace. It applies to selected channels, or all channels if none are selected.

Add a channel, paste a batch of URLs or import a playlist to begin.

Empty groups are drafting helpers. M3U exports only groups assigned to channels.

Drag channel or group handles, or use Up and Down. Dropping into another group changes that channel’s group. Up to 50 rows are shown per page.

Updated

The iiPTV playlist creator builds an M3U channel catalogue from addresses you already have permission to use. Enter a name and stream URL, add optional metadata, then download the result or open it in the browser player. The file contains references to media; it does not contain the video itself.

Use a playlist creator for a personal selection, controlled example or your own media resources. It formats records without establishing source ownership, availability or playback compatibility.

On this page: create an entry, add a batch, understand the format, follow an example, save safely, and questions.

Create an entry with the playlist creator

The playlist creator requires a descriptive name and complete media address: something recognizable to display and somewhere to request media.

Add an optional group and logo address. The playlist creator records supplied values; the receiving application decides how to display them. It does not verify logo ownership or guarantee loading.

Use names that distinguish important languages, regions or qualities. The playlist creator cannot know whether similar labels represent the same broadcast; clear names make later review easier.

Add multiple addresses with the playlist creator

Use the bulk input when you already have a list of authorized URLs, one per line. Review the resulting entries, assign useful names and remove mistakes before exporting. The playlist creator saves repetitive typing, but importing many lines does not establish that the addresses are current or playable.

For existing complete M3U files, use the playlist merger to retain their catalogue context.

Keep backups and variants deliberate

A lower-bandwidth alternative can be worth keeping beside a preferred source. Do not remove it merely because the name looks similar. After a playlist creator session, the duplicate remover can show exact matching groups so you decide which repeated entries are accidental.

Read the playlist creator file structure

An extended M3U catalogue starts with #EXTM3U. Each channel normally has an #EXTINF description followed by its address on the next line. The playlist creator writes that basic structure so a compatible application can turn plain text into a navigable list.

Attributes such as group-title, tvg-logo and tvg-id carry groups, logos and guide identifiers. A playlist creator can preserve these values without adding a programme-guide feature to the browser player.

M3U8 commonly signals UTF-8, and HLS also uses extended-M3U syntax. The playlist creator builds a channel catalogue, not a segment manifest; it neither encodes media nor creates adaptive video variants.

Build a clear playlist creator example

Imagine a permitted meeting stream and recorded introduction. In the playlist creator, name both distinctly and group them under Community. Add a backup only if useful; this is a workflow example, not a supplied channel package.

An address such as https://example.com/media/introduction.mp4 illustrates the required shape. The playlist creator does not include a working feed at that location. For a real local comparison, use iiPTV's bundled demo or an appropriately documented source you control.

Review the preview before downloading. Confirm the number of entries, the group spelling and the complete addresses. The playlist creator cannot detect that you accidentally pasted yesterday's expired token instead of today's valid one. A short manual review catches a different class of problem than a response check.

If the resulting catalogue needs larger changes, open a saved copy in the M3U editor. Use the stream checker when the next question is whether a source responds, keeping catalogue construction separate from network testing.

Save playlist creator results safely

Download a UTF-8 M3U file or copy the generated text into a location you control. The playlist creator keeps working data in browser memory, not a personal iiPTV cloud account. Refreshing or closing the page can discard unsaved entries, so export before leaving the session.

Accepted playlist data is limited to 5 MiB and 10,000 entries, with a bounded on-screen preview. The playlist creator is designed for a manageable browser workflow rather than unlimited cataloguing. Split larger work into meaningful sections and retain the original source records for later reconciliation.

Generated files can contain credentials in paths or queries. The playlist creator does not make private tokens safe to publish. See Privacy for source requests and ordinary website processing.

Playlist creator questions

Does the playlist creator include television channels?

No. It formats entries from the addresses you provide. Channel subscriptions, source permissions and media access remain separate. Do not treat an example hostname or a successful export as proof that a broadcast is available.

Can I play the result in iiPTV?

Use Open in Player for a one-time in-memory handoff, then press Play yourself. The browser still needs supported media and accessible resources. Exporting a catalogue does not add DASH, legacy protocols, DRM handling or missing codecs to the player.

Why can the browser read my chosen file later?

Browsers expose explicitly selected files through the File API. Importing your exported copy does not require sending it to an iiPTV playlist server or granting access to the rest of your disk.
